Greg and Gina | Kalamazoo Wedding

Greg and Gina my friends!  What a great wedding day! A cloudy first look, a downpour during the outdoor ceremony, a spirited ride in a trolley while we shot photos in the warm early evening sun, and finished in a cozy mill for the reception.

Oh what a fun day!

Mitch and Liz were easy!  This wedding flowed so well!  Nothing went wrong!  Smoooooth.. I am over joyed to show you this wedding. I have dreamed to shoot such a wedding!  I can cross glitter dresses off my “wedding bucket list”.   I must say Flint is a beautiful little city.  I will be back!  A special thank you to Cafe Rhema for letting us cool off and enjoy an iced coffee in your beautiful establishment.

I loved the 20’s feel!  Red lips, lacey sleeves, blue hues, sweet updos.

Sit back and enjoy some of my most favorite photos!  2016-06-20_00022016-06-20_00052016-06-20_00062016-06-20_00072016-06-20_00032016-06-20_00042016-06-20_00082016-06-20_00092016-06-20_00102016-06-20_00112016-06-20_00122016-06-20_00132016-06-20_00142016-06-20_00152016-06-20_00162016-06-20_00192016-06-20_00202016-06-20_00212016-06-20_00222016-06-20_00232016-06-20_00242016-06-20_00252016-06-20_00262016-06-20_00272016-06-20_00282016-06-20_00292016-06-20_00182016-06-20_00302016-06-20_00312016-06-20_00332016-06-20_00342016-06-20_00362016-06-20_00372016-06-20_00382016-06-20_00392016-06-20_0040

Drew and Kim | Muskegon Wedding Photography

Drew and Kim!! There are no words to express how awesome they are! I didn’t meet them until the rehearsal so my excitement and curiosity level was immense!! I was  rewarded for my patience in meeting them!  They satisfied my love tank!
I loved shooting this wedding… You are about to find out why!

muskegon wedding photographerThe day started at a beautiful hair salon. (Hair-i-tage salon.. clever) It really was a dream to shoot there. It was so pretty that the girls decided to get ready on the third floor suite (it used to be a house!)
storyboardcomp001(I know you didn’t just pass over those photos without saying…”oh my… she is beautiful!”… yeah… I’m super lucky!)

Drew and Kim chose to see each other before the ceremony.  The sweetest first look ever.  You could tell that they bring comfort and warmth when they are together.

I was thrilled to be able to shoot a couple hours with this fun group of friends!  I’m in love with the abandoned building shoot!

storyboardcomp002A trolly took us to the backyard ceremony perfectly placed near the water! Kim’s boquet was so beautiful. It is one of my favorites!

Also!  (Get your wedding planners out girls)  The bridesmaids did not have flowers… they had teal purses that matched their shoes! How perfect!

The ceremony felt like home.  The restaurant set right on the lake.  You could walk out to the deck and have a drink.  As the sun set almost everyone stood outside to watch the sky turn red and orange behind the sail boats. It was soooo beautiful.

Other ceremony favorite details:  The place cards were stamped with cows or fish to remind you what you ordered for the meal. I had the Walleye… I bragged about eating walleye to my friends and family for weeks (they didn’t get my excitement.)

The tortes!!  The apple was my favorite but the chocolate was the most popular… yes… i ate one of each. Small pieces…. small. =)

The guest signing tree was super adorable!

They both had perfect smiles!  Beyond perfect!

storyboardcomp003And then my most favorite photo: Amy (Cousin of the groom, a past bride, and now great friend of mine) and I ran a half mile to get to the dock to shoot this before the sun completely disappeared!  If your photographer asks to take you outside for a few minutes during golden hour (It can’t be over cast)… go for it.  It is the best time of the day for photography! You will get the best photos!

I am the luckiest photographer.  Beautiful couple, beautiful light, amazing location, and WHOOT  I got some birds in the background!

storyboardcomp004i have this photo in a frame now… yessssss. I love Michigan!  I love Drew and Kim!  I love everything about that day!

You are going to love this wedding!!  It’s the kind of charm I look forward to shooting!  So real, classy, and fun!

I met Lauren December of 2011~ I’ve known her the longest out of all my brides! I feel a special kind of connection with her. She kept me in the loop every step of the way… I felt like a bridesmaid.  She is so real and I love that about her. She is also the most organized bride I had ever had the privilege to know.  The wedding day went so smoothly.

Here is my list of loves!!!

~Their parents! So sweet!
~Lauren’s dress.  I am a sucker for lace and sleeves!
~Steve’s arms…. what…. That man has nice arms
~Lauren’s hair!  Go big or get out! Her hair was done so well!  It was modern romantic!
~First look in a tower looking over the lake!
~They both had adorable smiles!
~The wedding party!  They were so nice and willing to take whatever I threw at them!
~ The Venue!  Danielle from The Veranda was so awesome and easy to work with! She was dedicated to making Steve and Lauren’s reception perfect!  Highly recommend this amazing venue!
~mmmmm the food…
~Steve’s mom made the cake!!!  It was beautiful and tasted so so good!!
~The DJ…. He kept the party going like no other!
~Sparkler exit!!
~I just love Steve and Lauren!

Dylan and Mattie | South Haven Michigan Wedding Photography

South Haven Michigan wedding
MMM Lake Michigan…. I love this side of the state. Lots of memories along the coast. Speaking of memories…. Dylan and Mattie made a new one! They got Married on beautiful South Beach. The weather was so perfect…. Hazy, warm, with a cool breeze.

Mattie and I kept in contact (via email and instagram) while Dylan served our country over seas. Dylan also sent me a great postcard a few months before the wedding. I know we will continue to be friends.

Navy Blue was the perfect color for the girls airy dresses and Dylan’s tie was one of my favorite little details. The ceremony was set up so simple. Succulents in the sand lead to an arch that the groomsmen put together that morning. Guests took off their shoes and stood in the soft warm sand as they waited for the ceremony to begin.

The weather continued to be amazing through out the night while we celebrated at foundry hall. Twinkling lights on each table set a romantic playful mood in this dark vintage hall. Dylan and Mattie didn’t venture too far from each other the entire night… every once in a while they would wonder off in opposite directions… but not with out a kiss.
